As a SharePoint Technical Lead Consultant, you will be responsible for the technical end-to-end design SharePoint portals. The role will design specifications, implement POCs, mentor the development team, and perform code reviews.
Minimum Requirements:
- Strong functional and technical understanding of SharePoint 2010
- Ability to work directly with the clients/business to elicit/document requirements and drive functional vision
- Experience architecting enterprise solutions using SharePoint (2007, 2010)Experience architecting and leading delivery of platform migrations (2007 -> 2010, Notes ->SP) is a definite asset
- Experience leading development teams and developing SharePoint artifacts Background and experience in C#, ASP.NET, .NET, LINQ, SQL ServerGood (inclluding WCF and WF)
- Strong understanding of AJAX, JQuery, Javascript, HTML, CSS, WebServices
Additional Responsibilities include:
Collaborating with sale representatives to assist with opportunity development through pre-sales support, responding to client opportunities and RFPs, meeting with customers to present Avanade offerings and solutions, and scoping/estimating effort;
Providing project delivery leadership, including defining project scope, deliverables, effort estimation, and implementation timelines
Designing, implementing and executing technical solutions in Microsoft and multi-vendor environments.
Gathering business requirements and translating them into IT solutions;
Leading design reviews to ensure optimum solution delivery.
Leading solution implementation and delivery;
Developing and delivering internal and external presentations to various levels.
Performing benefit analysis for IT solutions and calculating business value.
Managing diverse responsibilities, projects and assignments while maintaining a high level of quality.
Qualifications
- You will have excellent communication skills and will have hands-on experience working on component based applications in a distributed environment
- Demonstrated project experience with regard to estimates, planning and deliverables
- Proven ability to understand a customer's needs
- Experience developing technical requirements based on business imperatives
- Ability to travel 80% of the time to the customer location throughout the GTA/Downtown Toronto (potentially Canada/US)
- Strong customer service skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS or related field
Qualified candidates should possess:
- Strong functional and technical understanding of SharePoint 2010

- Experience architecting enterprise solutions using SharePoint (2007, 2010)

- Security
- Application integration
- Testing & Deployment
- User Interface Design
Preferred Qualifications:
Microsoft certification and functional Microsoft technology knowledge of the following:
- SharePoint
- Content Management Server
- Commerce Server
- BizTalk Server
