In this role, you will consult with Avanade's Federal and Civilian government customers.

The .NET developer will be working as an individual contributor as part of a dynamic team to deliver quality enterprise software solutions for our customer. We are looking for someone with great oral and written communications skills. In addition to developing quality software, the developer will also be responsible for producing design documents, unit testing and developing automated tests, as well as deployment of the solution.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

You will have 0-3 years experience excellent communication skills and will have hands-on experience working on component based applications in a distributed environment. Qualified candidates should possess:

1+ year technology consulting

2 to 4+ years as a programmer

Deep Microsoft platform Skills

Full lifecycle experience developing large scale, scalable applications

2 + years demonstrated strong knowledge and proficiency in the following:

* NET Framework
* QA & Testing procedures
* ASP.NET
* C#, Visual Basic .NET
* Microsoft SQL
* Sharepoint / MOSS

2+ years demonstrated strong knowledge and proficiency in the following development methodologies:

* Object Oriented Development
* Component based development
* Patterns
* Design for reuse

2+ years technical lead experience in one or more of the following roles:

* Web Services Development
* Data Access Development
* Mobile Application Development
* Security
* Application integration
* Testing & Deployment
* User Interface Design

Demonstrated project experience with regard to estimates, planning and deliverables

Proven ability to understand a customer's needs

Experience developing technical requirements based on business imperatives

Strong customer service skills

Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites located within the DC metro area.

Willingness and ability to travel out of town overnight on a project by project basis as necessary to meet project requirements.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

Microsoft certification

Functional Microsoft technology knowledge of the following:

* SharePoint / MOSS
* Content Management Server
* Commerce Server
* BizTalk Server
